DTMart
Terms of Use
Last updated: 31 October 2026.
These terms are the rules for using DTMart, a shopping platform for small shops and home businesses in Sri Lanka and Canada, run by ZAIDBEEN GROUP INC, that connects customers with independent local shops. By using the DTMart customer app or the DTMart Seller app, you accept these terms. You only ever see shops in your own country: the country saved on your account decides which shops you can browse and order from.
DTMart connects buyers and shops
DTMart is a marketplace, not a shop. The goods are sold by the independent shops on the service, not by DTMart. Each shop is responsible for its own goods, prices, and delivery. If something is wrong with goods you received, the shop is your first contact, and we will help pass messages between you and the shop through the app.
Prices and availability
Shops set their own prices and decide what they sell. Shops update their prices, usually each morning, and prices or availability can change during the day. If an item is out of stock, the shop may reduce the quantity or leave the item out, and the final total for your order is the amount shown in the app after the shop has prepared it.
Orders
Placing an order is a request to the shop. The shop prepares your order and the app shows its progress. Check your order details, address, and phone number before placing an order: the shop and its driver rely on them.
Delivery and pickup
Delivery is done by the shop's own people, not by DTMart. Each shop chooses the area it delivers to, and the app only shows you shops that can reach you. You can also pick up your order from the shop yourself, where the shop offers pickup.
Paying for your order
You pay the shop for your order. For delivery, you can pay the driver in cash when your goods arrive: the total is the cost of the goods plus the delivery fee, and the driver hands the goods money to the shop. For pickup, you pay the shop in cash when you collect your goods.
In Canada, a shop may also offer card payment when you order. Card payments are processed by Stripe. The payment is held securely inside Stripe when you pay, and is released to the shop's own Stripe account only when your order is completed; DTMart deducts a 5% commission on the items subtotal (never on the delivery fee) from what the shop receives. If your order is cancelled before it is completed, your payment is refunded in full. If an order is refunded after its payment was released, DTMart refunds you right away and recovers the shop's share from the shop's Stripe account. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored by DTMart. In Sri Lanka, DTMart does not offer card or online payment: Sri Lanka orders are paid in cash or through the shop book only, and no commission is charged on cash or book sales.
The shop book (credit)
Some shops let their customers buy now and settle later using the shop's book (add to my book). Credit is offered by the shop, not by DTMart: the shop decides which customers can use the book and how much they can owe. The balance is money you owe the shop, and you settle it directly with the shop. DTMart only keeps the record so you and the shop see the same numbers. If you disagree with an entry in the book, speak to the shop: the shop manages its own book.
Shop plans
Shops can subscribe to paid plans with higher limits. Every new shop begins with a free 30-day trial of the paid features; the trial starts when the shop is created. Plan prices depend on the shop's country and are shown in the DTMart Seller app before the shop subscribes: in Canada, Pro is CAD $6.99 per month (or $69.90 per year) and Business is CAD $14.99 per month (or $149.90 per year); in Sri Lanka, Pro is Rs. 1,490 per month (or Rs. 14,900 per year) and Business is Rs. 3,490 per month (or Rs. 34,900 per year).
A shop subscribes by card through the DTMart shop panel (billing by Stripe), or through the App Store or Google Play inside the DTMart Seller app where store subscriptions are offered. Panel plans renew automatically through Stripe at the end of each paid period until cancelled; store subscriptions renew under the store's own rules. The current plan's expiry date is always shown on the plan screen in the DTMart Seller app. A shop may cancel at any time: cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and the shop keeps its paid features until then. When a trial or paid period ends without a subscription, the shop stops selling — it is hidden from customers and cannot take new orders — until it subscribes; its data is kept safe. Plan fees are not refundable for a period that has already started, except where the law requires a refund.
